  Over the years, the service has gotten progressively worse. We live locally, with few restaurant options, so my wife occasionally forces me to go when she doesn't want to cook because my sons like the ribs and burgers. Our last visit was late on Valentine's Day and we were in a huge rush because it was a school night. I told the manager we needed an especially good waiter or waitress that moves quickly. He said OK. He implied that they didn't plan ahead for Valentine's, and that they had gotten "slammed" that evening, but there really weren't many customers by the time we arrived. It sounded like management just forgot to look at the calendar. So the waiter comes over, I tell him we are in a hurry, and he looks like someone they just grabbed off the street, so I know it's going to go poorly. It was yet another night of searching and waiting for a server that would forget all about us. They used to hire a lot of college students, all different races, that were wearing tons of buttons on their uniforms, and were enthusiastic and courteous. Now, call me what you want, but I'm just stating fact, the majority of the wait staff is black and enthusiasm has been completely removed from the menu. Water refills, no. Soda refills, extra sauces, dream on. On that night some guy was there bothering the workers and some of the customers. He was asking for free food (and they gave him a bunch of it in containers), constantly cursing in conversations with my kids a few feet away, getting up and pacing around and talking on his phone. When I was ready to leave, I waited over fifteen minutes to locate the waiter, get the bill and pay. Now, that is after I told him we were in a rush, remember? So the only thing that is at least somewhat worth a trip here is the food. People in my town can afford to go elsewhere and will not tolerate lazy, slow service, so this place will continue to decline.
